Beykoz District<\/h1>\n

Beykoz district, or as it was called in the past, Amikos, the name given to it by the Thracians in relation to the Thracian king Amikos, located in the Asian section of Istanbul, bordered on the west by the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul Bo\u011faz\u0131, on the east by the \u015eile region, on the north by the Black Sea Karadeniz, while As for the south, it is bordered by the following areas: \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y, \u00dcsk\u00fcdar and \u00dcmraniye.
\nAs Beykoz region bases on a very long historical past dating back to the BC period, when it settled by many invaders from different parts of the Black Sea and beyond from Thracians, Pythians, Greeks, Romans and Byzantines until the Turks settled in it, where many of The following historical artifacts still to this day, including:<\/p>\n

– Ishak A\u011fa \u00c7e\u015fmesi Fountain which built by the famous architect Mimar Sinan
\n– Khedive Palace, which built by order of the Khedive of Egypt Abbas Hilmi Pasha
\n– Anadolu Hisar\u0131 Castle built by order of Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m Bayezid
\n– K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fcksu Palace, which built as a gift to Sultan Mahmud I<\/p>\n

The region also occupies an important place in the history of the Ottoman Empire, as it became one of the favorite places of the Ottoman ruling class because of its fertile lands suitable for hunting.
\nThe region characterized by its rich green forests that still exist and preserve its nature, in which there are many pine trees, walnuts, chestnuts and lindens.
\nAnd in those picturesque forests, many famous historical series were filmed.
\nBeykoz is also one of the most important and most prestigious areas of the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
\nExcept that it surrounds by all social services, including transportation, health and educational institutions, and many charming hiking centers.<\/p>\n
